Rhone Hill Polo Club emerged victorious as the SA Open Winner 2024.

Competing against three other teams — Vampire Bats, Cape Town Polo Club and Rocksteady Polo — Rhone Hill showcased exceptional skill and teamwork. Charles Heffron, Sipho Spilsbury, Gonzalo Lopez Vargas and Chris Mackenzie were undefeated throughout all their pool matches.

The climax of the tournament saw Rhone Hill facing Cape Town Polo in a thrilling final match. In a nail-biting contest, Rhone Hill clinched the championship title.

The tournament not only celebrated Rhone Hill’s victory but also recognized individual and team excellence. Blue, was honored as the Best Playing Pony, while Chris Mackenzie received the MVP award for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

This 15-goal tournament, spread across the lush fields of Rhone Hill Polo Club and Kurland Estate, has not only highlighted the rising standards of polo in the region but also reinforced Rhone Hill Polo Club’s status as a powerhouse in the South African polo community.
