Situated in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, the club was named, Rhone Hill, after the family’s estate in Ireland.

Rhone Hill Polo Club is the ideal destination for both seasoned polo players and beginners, whilst set in the amazing holiday destination of Plettenberg Bay, in the heart of the Garden Route.

Welcome to Rhone Hill Polo Club, situated on the edge of the Bitou Nature Reserve in South Africa’s glorious Plettenberg Bay.

We purchased the club in January 2021 and since then we have fully upgraded and renovated all of the facilities, including resurfacing the 3 polo fields with tifton grass, creating world class surfaces.

As an amateur polo player for over 25 years, and a father of 5 children who all play polo, I can assure you that Rhone Hill and the wider Plettenberg Bay Area is a place where all the family can relax and enjoy a holiday whilst perfecting their polo skills.

Those who come to Plettenberg Bay return year after year to enjoy its safe and laid back vibe, its fantastic restaurants, numerous activities, vineyards and its beautiful beaches.
