In an unforgettable final, Mima Heffron (0), Dirk van Reenen (5), Gonza Lopez Vargas (4), and Patricio Cieza (5) displayed exceptional skill and synergy to take the title.
This victory is especially significant as Mima Heffron, a lay player, becomes a rare female winner of this elite tournament – an incredible achievement in South African polo. Remarkably, Charles Heffron won the SA Open in 2024, making back-to-back Heffron wins a milestone for the club.
Rhone Hill’s depth or horse power and organisation were evident, with every horse on the field performing at peak level. The recent import of seven top Argentine mares by owner Patrick Heffron has significantly strengthened the yard, elevating the club’s competitive edge.
