Polo Holiday

Come to learn and play polo in the beautiful Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. Our tailor made intensive training program will cater for all abilities and improve your game whatever your level. 

What a typical day looks like:

8:30  Breakfast basket served in your cottage.
10:00 Polo Lesson with a professional instructor on horseback or the wooden horse.
Free time to have lunch, relax in the loungers, have an ice bath, enjoy a game of Padel or a workout in the gym or have a massage (must be organised in advance).
16:00 Play four chukkas according to your level, on one of our 3 Tifton Fields.
18:00 Drinks and snacks at the pavilion watching the sunset.

On one evening during your stay, we would love you to join us for a traditional South African Braai at the Pavillion.

We recommend the training program to be 7 days in total with a rest & relaxation day on day 4, mid week.

Relaxation day / time

Spend time relaxing on the loungers on the patio, or working out in the Gym, have an ice bath and play Padel tennis.

Take a SUP or canoe down the Bitou River.

Massages can be arranged on site.

Take a trip into town for shopping, visit the many nearby beaches or visit one of the many vineyards in the surrounding area.

Rhone Hill Polo Day

(minimum of 2 people)

If you’ve always wanted to try polo, we can arrange a polo taster day. Have a lesson with our pro and learn how to hit the ball in no time.

Program:

09:00 Pick up from the hotel

09.30 Reception with freshly made coffee & croissants, an introduction to the horses and a tour of the club.

11:00 Polo lesson with a professional either on horse back or on the wooden horse.

12:00 Join in a polo game according your level or if you are not yet ready, you can watching the pros and enjoy the game.

13:00 Drinks and snacks in the pavilion, enjoying the stunning views over Bitou River.

14:00 Drop off back to the hotel.
